What a busy year! It went by so fast.

TJ turned 9 in January. He is busy with scouts, guitar, bowling, and flag football. Spelling is still his thing - this year he made it to the school final spelling bee. He was the last 4th grader in the competition. We are so proud of him. Guitar is also going very well. TJ is getting ready to make up his own solo! Bowling a 300 series is now becoming a weekly event. TJ is going to be a strong bowler, just like his dad. Troy coached TJ's flag football team this year and had a blast! In Cub Scouts, we had a fun year competing in his first pinewood derby. He made the car by himself (with minimal supervision from mom and dad). TJ just received his Bear Badge and will start Weblos in January (after he is 10).

Amy turned 11 in March. She is busy with dance (both solo and team) and bowling. Amy was accepted into the PAL (Program for Accelerated Learners) and is attending sixth grade at Roosevelt Elementary in Washington Terrace. She was a little nervous at first - but the move was well worth it. For the first time Amy is not bored in school. She is challenged with the curriculum. She has made many new friends. Amy is still dancing with Studio 48 on the Sr. Elite team. Earlier this year, her team had the opportunity to perform at a Utah Jazz game. It was fun. Her solo was amazing once again. She is now working hard on the new team dances and her solo for 2012. Amy is also bowling 300 series each week.

For our family vacation this year - we went to Colorado. Headed up through Vernal and stopped at Dinosaur National Monument. From there we drove thru Rocky Mountain National Park. That was amazing! Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful! We then headed south to Denver and Golden Colorado. We visited the Wind Caves and the kids did the Windwalker Course. We also stopped at Argo Mine and Mill - and panned for gold. All in all it was a great trip with many enjoyable and lasting memories made.

The farm is doing great. We have had up to 30 head this year. We are renting a couple of pastures to keep up with the growing herd. The kids are helping alot with animals and chores around the place. Our new "favorite" family activity is hauling hay. It is not really our favorite - but it is funny to watch from the road I am sure. TJ rolls the bales, Troy and I load the lower 2 layers of hay on the trailer and Amy is driving. Yes that is scary - a blonde 11 year old at the wheel! She has done very good and did not throw me off the stack. By the 4th crop - she could even turn the truck into the next row.

We had baby goats this year. Anakin and Padame (Star Wars inspired). They are the cutest things ever!

2011 was a year that flew by - but it was a fun one.
